BrightReel Media ("BrightReel," "we," "us," or "our") operates brightreelsmedia.online (the "Site") and provides AI-assisted video production and social media growth services for businesses, along with affiliate product recommendations. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written for practical transparency — including Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Developer App requirements — and is not a certification of compliance with any particular standard.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in the following ways:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact information | Name, email address, business name, phone number | Submitted directly by you via email, contact forms, or booking requests |
| Business information | Business name, industry, public website/social profiles | Provided by you, or gathered from publicly available sources when we research prospective clients |
| Meta / Facebook / Instagram connection data | Page or account IDs, usernames, profile/Page metadata, granted permission scopes, and short- or long-lived access tokens when you authorize our Meta app | Provided by Meta's APIs after you (or a Page admin) grant permission |
| Media & publishing metadata | Captions, media IDs, publish status, timestamps, and similar metadata needed to create or schedule posts on your behalf | Generated by our service or returned by Meta APIs when providing contracted publishing/content services |
| Usage data | Pages visited, referring URL, browser type, approximate location, device type | Collected automatically via server logs and analytics tools when you visit the Site |
| Communication records | Emails you send us, replies to outreach emails, unsubscribe and deletion requests | Generated through your interactions with us |
2. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and provide requested services or sample content
- To produce and (when authorized) publish video or social content for client accounts, including via Meta Graph / Instagram APIs
- To store and refresh access tokens and related metadata only as needed to perform authorized publishing and account management
- To identify and contact businesses who may benefit from our services via email outreach
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- To measure which content and campaigns perform well, using aggregated analytics
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. Meta Platform / Facebook & Instagram
If you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram Business/Creator account, or related Meta asset to BrightReel Media through our Meta Developer App, Meta shares certain data with us according to the permissions you approve. Typical purposes include:
- Authenticating you or your business and confirming Page/account admin rights
- Publishing or scheduling posts, Reels, Stories, or other content you request
- Reading basic account/Page metadata needed to operate the connection
- Troubleshooting failed publishes or permission errors
We do not use Meta platform data to build unrelated advertising profiles for sale, and we do not sell that data. You can revoke our app's access at any time in your Facebook or Instagram settings; after revocation we stop using the connection and delete or invalidate stored tokens as described in our User Data Deletion instructions.
Your use of Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta products remains subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy.
4. Cold outreach & business contact data
As part of our service, we identify businesses that may be a good fit for AI-assisted video production and may contact them by email using publicly available business contact information (such as a published business email address). We do not purchase harvested consumer email lists, and we do not scrape data from sources whose terms of service prohibit it.
5. Cookies & tracking technologies
The Site may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies for analytics (understanding how visitors use the Site) and, on affiliate pages, to track referrals for commission purposes. See our Cookie Policy for details on what is currently active and how to control it.
6. Affiliate links
Some pages on this Site contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, the third-party retailer or their affiliate network may set a cookie or use a tracking parameter to attribute the sale to us. We do not receive your payment information from these transactions — that is handled entirely by the third-party retailer.
7. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — when you authorize our app, content and API calls are sent to Meta to publish or manage the connected account as you request
- Service providers who help us operate the Site, send email, host data, or process video (e.g., hosting, email delivery, and AI production tooling), bound by confidentiality obligations appropriate to the service
- Affiliate networks, solely to the extent needed to attribute a referral
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law
8. Data retention
- Contact and communication records: retained as long as needed to provide services, respond to inquiries, and meet legal or accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymized
- Meta access tokens: retained while the connection is active and needed for the engagement; invalidated and deleted when you disconnect, when the engagement ends, or upon a verified deletion request
- Media/publishing metadata: retained for the duration of the client engagement and a reasonable period afterward for troubleshooting and records, unless you request earlier deletion
- Unsubscribe / suppression records: retained as needed to honor opt-outs
- Deletion-request records: we may keep a minimal confirmation log (who requested, when, and what was deleted) to demonstrate that we processed the request
9. Your rights and choices
- Unsubscribe: Use the link in any marketing email, or email us directly, to opt out of future outreach.
- Access & correction: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of personal data and Meta connection data we hold. Instructions are on our User Data Deletion page, or email privacy@brightreelsmedia.online.
- Revoke Meta access: Remove BrightReel Media / our app from your Facebook or Instagram connected apps/settings at any time.
- EU/UK/California residents: Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Contact us to make a request. We respond within a commercially reasonable time and, where those laws set a deadline, we aim to meet it.
10. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and firewalled infrastructure — to protect information we hold, including tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The Site and our services are directed at businesses and business owners, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
